Let me introduce myself…

Kelly Schamberger (American, b. 1985) is an internationally-awarded fine artist, representational oil painter, and art instructor. Her work focuses on plein air landscapes, portraiture, and still life arrangements in the styles of realism and classical impressionism.

Schamberger has been widely recognized in her artistic endeavors through awards and news features, has displayed and sold work in museum, international, invitational, solo, and juried exhibitions, and has earned competitive grants to advance her career. She is one of a select group of artists worldwide who had work included in the Lunar Codex time capsule placed on the moon by the Odysseus Lander in February 2024, and will also be included in the Polaris Collection moon time capsule launching in the fall of 2025. Schamberger is the author of a limited-edition fine art book titled Immersed in the Pause, and has exhibited at Sotheby’s New York, Minneapolis Institute of Art, Minnesota Marine Art Museum, Bell Museum, and more.

Schamberger earned her bachelor's degree in art from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls, studied graphic design and illustration at Boise State University, built the foundation for a fine art career through a four-year classical drawing and painting apprenticeship at the Great Lakes Academy of Fine Art, and completed a master’s degree in business administration from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.

She serves as Vice President for the Outdoor Painters of Minnesota nonprofit organization, and on the Board of Directors for the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council. Schamberger paints from a home studio space in Duluth, Minnesota, and has work in private collections throughout the United States.

But wait,
there’s more…

In her “other” professional life, Schamberger is a visionary leader in business, nonprofit management, and community relations, while excelling in marketing, communications, and creative direction. She is skilled in graphic design, brand creation and development, marketing and communications strategy, quantitative metrics and evaluation, writing, editing, public speaking, teaching, mentoring, and relationship-building. Schamberger is a recognized, trusted expert and voice in the fields of art, arts education, business, management, marketing, communications, and public relations.

She was recognized as an inspirational community leader in Duluth’s 20 Under 40 awards, honored with the Mentor Award in the 2024 Rosie Awards, and spoke at the Minnesota State Capitol to kick off the annual Arts Advocacy Day of lobbying for the arts.

She is a known public figure, supporter of the local business community, understands the interconnectedness and needs of the Arrowhead region, and has developed deep ties throughout many sectors as a former ambassador for the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce. She was part of the Chamber's 2024 Leadership Duluth cohort, often volunteers locally, and regularly attends events in the community to show her support.
