Competition Description

Kelly Schamberger is one of over 100 artists participating in the annual plein air painting competition in Grand Marais, Minnesota.

Public Events

The public is welcome to attend the following scheduled events to observe painters in action and connect with the artists in this year’s competition:

September 11
11am
Off-the-Easel Sale and Preview in Harbor Park
Artist will be sharing and selling paintings before the official opening reception on Friday evening.

September 11
3:30-5pm
Birney Quick Paint Competition
Artists have 90 minutes to create a painting, with judging for awards immediately following.

September 12
4pm-8pm
Opening Reception and Award Ceremony
